Selection of outdoor camping hiking headlights

1、 Water resistance.
Outdoor camping, hiking or other night work will inevitably encounter rainy days, so the headlights must be waterproof, otherwise the rain or immersion will cause the circuit short circuit to extinguish or flicker, causing potential safety hazards in the dark. Therefore, when purchasing headlights, you must see whether there is a waterproof sign, and it must be greater than the waterproof grade above IXP3. The larger the number, the better the waterproof performance (the waterproof grade will not be described here).
2、 Fall resistance.
Headlamps with good performance must be resistant to falling (impact). The general test method is free fall of 2m high without damage. In outdoor sports, it may also slip due to loose wearing and other reasons. If the shell cracks due to falling, the battery falls off or the internal circuit fails, even searching for the fallen battery in the dark is a very terrible thing, so such headlights must be unsafe. So when you buy, you should also check whether there is a fall proof sign.
3、 Cold resistance.
It is mainly aimed at outdoor activities in the north and high altitude areas, especially the headlights with split battery boxes. If the head lamp with poor quality PVC wire is used, it is likely that the wire skin will become hard and brittle due to cold, which will lead to the breakage of the internal core. I remember that the last time I watched the CCTV flame climb Mount Everest, there was also a problem that the camera wire was cracked due to extremely low temperature. Therefore, if you want to use outdoor headlights at low temperatures, you must pay more attention to the cold resistant design of the products.
